What to Expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big unknown. Here's exactly what your Evoke experience looks like - no surprises, just support.

Visiting the Office

Evoke's office is a private home studio. Skip the sterile waiting room and fluorescent lights, this is therapy in a space that actually feels calming, because it's designed to be. Many patients say the home setting helps them settle in faster: it's quiet, private, and comfortable from the moment you walk in. This is your time and it should feel like it.

For the privacy and safety of all patients, the studio address is shared personally after your consultation call and screenings are complete. It's one of the ways Evoke keeps this space feeling safe, private, and protected, for you and everyone who walks through the door.

Before Your
First Session

Once you're scheduled, you'll receive intake paperwork through Evoke's secure, HIPAA-compliant patient portal. The intake appointment covers your history, goals, consent forms, and practice policies. Completing this ahead of time means your first session is spent talking, not filling out forms. A few tips before you arrive (or log on):

  • There's no "right way" to show up, come as you are

  • Wear whatever feels comfortable

  • Bring water if you'd like

  • For virtual sessions: find a private spot and test your link a few minutes early

Evoke's office is located in Broad Ripple, one of Indianapolis' most walkable and welcoming neighborhoods. Reserved parking is available on-site so there's no circling the block, no meters, and no stress before your session even starts.

Meet JQ 🐾

Our Resident Wellness Cat

You may be greeted by JQ, Evoke's unofficial (and unbothered) co-therapist. He's friendly, occasionally opinionated, and has mastered the art of showing up exactly when someone needs a purr (purring is scientifically soothing, after all).

Plenty of patients consider him the best part of their session, although Sidni tries not to take it
personally.

Allergic to cats, or prefer a pet-free session? No problem at, mention it when you book. Accommodations will be made for you.
